Raid Remind

Raid Remind — Hear it. See it. Raid it.

The raid lead speaks, everyone else reads along. The words are turned into text by the raid lead's own browser — free, nothing to download or install.

I'm a raider

Type the code your raid lead gave you. You'll see your own instructions and the full raid transcript on one page.

Raid leads need Chrome or Edge on a desktop PC. Raiders can read along in any browser.

The OBS overlay stays ad-free. Light ads may appear on the lead and raider pages later to keep the tool free.

How Raid Remind works

Raid Remind gives your group a written copy of raid-leader callouts without changing how you use voice chat. It also gives each raider a clear place to check their own job for the current fight.

For the raid lead

  1. Start a raid in Chrome or Edge on your desktop PC and allow the microphone.
  2. Share the short raid code or link in Discord or raid chat.
  3. Talk normally. Each finished callout appears for the group after a brief pause.
  4. Optionally set your loot system, such as Soft Res, Loot Council or DKP, and share the rules or a link. Raiders see it on their page, along with their own soft-reserves.

For raiders

  1. Open the link, or type the raid code above, then enter your character name.
  2. Keep the page open on a second monitor, laptop, tablet, or phone.
  3. Check your own assignments in the phase tabs, with diagrams, your position or zone, cooldowns, and jobs. Follow the live transcript in the Raid Leader Captions panel on the same page. Notes update without a refresh.
  4. Not sure what a raid term means? Look it up in the Glossary card on your raider page.

Under Fight notes, the raid lead chooses Add fight to start a fight by hand, or Import assignments to upload a phase-based CSV file; either way, the pop-up editor opens. It lets them prepare up to 10 phases per fight, with a picture or diagram and each player’s positions, cooldowns, and jobs. Save puts the fight card on the page; pressing “Send <fight> notes” shares it with the raiders and adds a “Sent at” time. Re-sending updates raiders right away. Read the full step-by-step guide before your first raid.

Why raid leads use it

Voice chat gets crowded. A pull starts, several people speak, game sounds flare up, and one important callout disappears in the noise. Repeating it costs attention at exactly the wrong moment. Raid Remind leaves the words on screen so the group can look back without asking the lead to stop and say everything again.

Written callouts can make a real difference for raiders who are hard of hearing or deaf, play with the sound low, have unreliable audio, use a noisy setup, or speak English as another language. They also help anyone who simply misses a word while watching timers, movement, and health bars. A visible time beside each line makes it easier to tell whether a callout is current.

Personal fight notes cut down on confusion before and during a fight. Instead of searching a long document, each raider sees only their own assignments for each phase: diagrams, a position or zone, cooldowns, and jobs. The Raid Leader Captions panel keeps general spoken calls separate, and changed notes arrive without a refresh. Nothing needs to be downloaded, no account is required, and raiders can use any modern browser.

Free, and Hopefully Staying that way

Raid Remind uses the free speech recognition already built into the raid lead’s Chrome or Edge browser. There is no paid transcription service charging for every minute of a raid, which keeps the normal experience free. Light ads may appear later on the lead and raider pages to help pay for hosting. The transparent OBS overlay will always stay ad-free.
