What we store

We store only what is needed to run a raid: the raid code, caption lines sent by the raid lead’s browser, character names raiders type in, fight names and phases, uploaded phase pictures, and per-player fight notes such as positions, cooldowns, and jobs that the raid lead adds or imports. Raid Remind has no accounts, passwords, or email sign-up. Only the browser that started the raid can send or change notes.

How long raid information stays

Pressing “End raid” deletes that raid’s captions, character list, fights, assignment notes, uploaded pictures, soft-reserves and loot system info right away. A raid left open is cleaned up automatically after about 12 hours without new captions or raid-lead activity, and leftover pictures are swept automatically every hour. Refreshing during an active raid does not end it.

Uploaded phase pictures

Uploaded phase pictures are kept in private storage for that raid and shown through that raid’s fight notes, so, like the transcript, anyone with the raid code can see them. They are deleted when the lead presses “End raid.” Any leftover pictures are swept automatically every hour, and quiet raids are cleaned up after about 12 hours.

Soft-reserves from softres.it

When a raid leader adds a softres.it raid, Raid Remind copies that raid’s soft-reserve data from softres.it for that raid only: character name, item, boss, class, spec, note and plus. Discord names and IDs from softres.it are not stored. This copy is deleted when the leader presses “End raid” or after about 12 hours with no activity.

Loot system info

The loot type, custom loot system name and rules a raid leader types are stored for that raid only. They are deleted when the leader presses “End raid” or after about 12 hours with no activity.

Speech and audio

The raid lead’s speech is turned into text by the browser’s built-in speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, the browser maker, Google or Microsoft, may process the audio to provide that feature under its own privacy policies. Raid Remind never receives or stores the audio recording itself. It receives only the finished text lines that the raid lead’s browser sends.

Assignment imports (CSV)

If a raid lead uploads a CSV file, we read it only to fill in that raid’s fights, phases, and player notes. The imported information follows the same cleanup rules as the rest of the raid.

Who can read a raid

Anyone with the raid code can read that raid’s shared transcript. Treat the code like a group link, and do not say private or sensitive information on the microphone while a raid is running. We do not sell personal data or use raid information for anything else.

Cookies, ads, and visit counts

This site loads Google AdSense code on its public information pages. Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, including ads based on visits to this and other sites. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google’s partner sites policy. The OBS overlay never loads ad code. Basic anonymous visit counts may be collected by our hosting provider to keep the site reliable and understand general use.
