About Raid Remind
Raid Remind helps a World of Warcraft (or any other game) group hear a callout once and still have the words in front of them when the fight gets busy.
What Raid Remind is
During a raid, the raid lead talks on voice as usual. Raid Remind turns those spoken callouts into live text using the free speech recognition built into the raid lead’s Chrome or Edge browser. There is no bot to invite and no extra program for the group to install. The raid lead starts a raid, receives a short code, and shares that code or the raid link with the group.
Raiders open the link, or type the short raid code on the home page, then enter their character name. Once the lead sends fight notes, each raider sees only their own assignments, with phase tabs, diagrams they can tap to enlarge, their position or zone, cooldowns, and jobs. Healer or Power Infusion cards appear where relevant, and the separate Raid Leader Captions panel shows the full live transcript. Notes update on their own, without a refresh. The lead prepares fights in a pop-up editor with up to 10 phases, pictures or diagrams, and per-player notes, then saves the fight and presses Send to share it.
Leads can also set the raid’s loot system and share rules or a link, whatever game the group plays. Choose a system such as Loot Council, DKP or EPGP, or give your own system a name. Softres.it soft-reserves are built in, and each raider sees only their own reserves alongside the shared loot information.
New raiders can look up terms like aggro, HoT or tankbuster in the Gaming Glossary, which covers general MMO words plus World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV, and in a small Glossary card right on the raider page.
Who it is for
Raid Remind is for raid leads who want callouts understood the first time, without stopping to repeat the same instruction while everyone is already moving. It is also for raiders who are hard of hearing or deaf, play with the sound low, use a noisy setup, speak English as another language, or simply miss a few words in the chaos of a pull. A written line gives people another chance to catch the instruction without interrupting the group.
Streamers can also show the latest raid-leader lines on stream through the optional transparent OBS overlay. That makes the action easier to follow for viewers while leaving the stream layout clean.
Why it is free
The tool uses speech recognition already available in the raid lead’s browser, so there is no paid transcription service running behind every spoken line. That helps Raid Remind stay free for normal use. Light ads may appear on the lead and raider pages later to help cover hosting. The OBS overlay will always stay ad-free, so no advertisement appears over a stream.
A fan-made raid tool
Raid Remind is a fan-made tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment or Square Enix. World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, and Final Fantasy XIV is a trademark of Square Enix. The tool does not replace voice chat or encounter knowledge; it simply gives a raid another clear way to follow what the raid lead says.
